1. The client must be 18+ years old to register on ShopADoc®.
2. Without exception, no dental or medical insurance will be used to compensate a dentist for a service rendered a client. The terms of payment for a service are made by the dentist. The final auction fee is not a firm quote.
3. The dentist reserves the right to withhold service and/or make additional recommendations based upon the clinical presentation to include assessment of additional fees where applicable.
4. The client is not bound to follow through with a service or to accept recommendations made by the dentist to support the need for additional services as no binding agreements or contracts are entered into by either party.
5. X-ray images and photos must be no older than 30 days as conditions change over time.
6. No names can be visible on x-ray images and photos. The client should use the edit feature on their mobile device to “crop out” all identifying information.
7. X-rays must be original dental film or digitally produced. The use of photocopied and faxed x-ray images is prohibited. FAQ
8. Random identification numbers will be assigned to the client and the dentist.
9. The client cannot cancel an auction and the dentist cannot retract a bid.
10. The client has the option to increase the “Ask Fee” up until the first bid is made. The “Maximum Travel Distance” may be increased throughout the auction cycle – not to exceed 35 miles.
11. If a dentist has multiple offices, each office requires a separate registration.
12. The sharing of an annual office registration among dental offices is prohibited.
13. The sharing of accounts between dentists is prohibited.
14. The client’s selected “ Maximum Travel Distance” determines which auction(s) a dentist may view. The dentist is prohibited from editing their registered office address to view auctions that would otherwise be outside their service area and not visible.
15. The client and dentist are not permitted to communicate during an auction. A violation will result in immediate cancellation, forfeiture of all fees paid, and both will be banned from further participation.
16. Auctions begin promptly at 8:30 am Pacific Time Mondays and extend through 1:00 pm Pacific Time Thursdays.
17. The deadline for inclusion in an auction is 8:00 am Pacific Time Monday.
18. A client may modify their personal information once they’ve registered for an auction. The changes will take effect immediately provided the auction payment has not processed. Once the auction payment has processed, changes to the client’s personal information will be reflected in the following auction cycle. A client’s personal information cannot be changed for a discounted “relist” type auction.
19. A dentist may modify their personal and office information upon completion of the registration process. Any changes made to the office address and phone number will be reflected in the following auction cycle.
20. Coupons and Promos are discounts that will be made available at ShopADoc's discretion. They will display conspicuously on the homepage. Coupons and Promos must be redeemed at the time of checkout BEFORE payment is made. Once payment is made, Coupons and Promos are invalid.
21. ShopADoc® controls the bidding increments. Each successive bid is automatically calculated and reduced by 3%.
22. If an auction ends (Thursday) with no winner, the Flash Bid Cycle® is held the following day (Friday). The client is encouraged to increase the “Ask Fee” and the “Travel Distance” to attract interest.
23. If the Flash Bid Cycle® ends with no winner, the client is offered a discount to relist the service in the next consecutive auction. The client must relist at the close of the auction without delay to be eligible for the discount. A relist discount is offered only 1 time. If the client wishes to list a service in a 3rd consecutive auction, no relist discount is extended.
24. Sniping is not permitted. An auction cycle ends only after 5 minutes of no bidding activity.
25. ShopADoc® notifies the client and the dentist of auction success by email and provides each with the others contact information.
26. All client x-ray images and photos will be deleted from the site upon the conclusion of an auction. The winning dentist is advised to “screenshot” any x-ray images and photos promptly upon the conclusion of an auction cycle.
27. ShopADoc® reserves the right to modify the content of this site at any time without notice.
28. Any and all payments made to ShopADoc® are non-transferable and non-refundable.
29. The client and dentist are encouraged to message ShopADoc® to report abuse, irregularities, concerns, comments, and unprofessional behavior. ShopADoc® reserves the right to restrict future participation of a client or dentist for any reason.
